Abstract

This paper intends to review with the student's learning style dimensions of divergent and convergent. Both interact with the methods of debate and methods of discussion. Differences in learning styles impact on student learning, student learning outcomes specify a maximum learning. Therefore, teachers need to understand the learning style that is owned by the students, before applying the learning method that will be chosen. This paper concludes convergent learning style has a stronger interaction with the method of debate while the divergent learning style has a stronger interaction with the method of discussion

Abstract

This article examines concept of learning styles and the effect on students' critical thinking ability. According to United Nations (UN) critical thinking skills (critical thinking skills) is characteristic of the current era of globalization of society, namely the knowledge society (knowledge-based scoeity). But critical thinking is considered by most students is difficult, moreover, the lesson is still centered on the lecturer (Teacher Centered Learning) so that students are difficult to express ideas. So that students' critical thinking skills are still low. Learning style is considered to be a means to develop critical thinking abilities. It is based on the results of the study Nurbaeti, et al (2015) There is a positive relationship between learning style with critical thinking skills. Based on these descriptions, the necessary efforts to develop students' critical thinking skills by observing the learning style of each individual. Achievement of critical thinking skills of students affected by many factors, one of which is learning style. In addition to the use of appropriate teaching methods, learning styles also a motivating factor to achieve critical thinking skills. Because the student's learning style has a close connection with the achievement of the average value of critical thinking skills and cognitive abilities of learners

Abstract

Sexual abuse and rape is one of the worst things that can be experienced and toughest human beings, both women and men. In addition to physical injury also brought emotional pain or psychological needs time to heal. According to WHO data in 2006 found that women abused, raped and was beaten every day around the world. At least half of the world's population who are women has experienced both physical and psychological of violence. in cases of sexual abuse and rape, mostly victims of sexual abuse and rape are women, but in some cases, men can also be victims generally performed by men as well. Perpetrators is the people around them, sometimes they know well. While most other cases, performed by people who are just been known that originally as a good man who offered to help. Sexual harassment and rapes will trigger a deep trauma to victims. Victims of rape and sexual abuse can experience stress as a result of traumatic experiences that have happened. Stress disorder endured by the victims of sexual abuse and rapes is often referred to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD).

Abstract

The research was to determine the effect neurotic tendencies and self-efficacy toward psychologycal well being in college students. The tendency of neurotic and self-efficacy as the independent variable and psychological well-being as the dependent variable, the subjects in the research a student amounted to 100 students which consists of 52 male students and 48 female students ranging in age from of 18 to 20 years. A purposive sampling technique is used as a method of taking the subject. Analyze data use multiple linear regression analysis and data collection make use of a scale that is Psychologycal Of Well Being Scale, Big Five Inventory (BFI) and Self Efficacy Scale (SES (BFI) Psychologycal Scale Of Well Being. The results showed neurotic trends affecting the psychological well-being (? = 0241, p = 0.006). Self Efficacy affect psychological well-being with ? = 0241, p = 0.006). Neurotic tendencies and Self Efficacy toward psychological well-being (? = 20 919, p = 0.000). The research was shows that the tendency of neurotic and Self Efficacy provide effective contribution of 30.1% toward psychological well-being

Abstract

Transgender phenomena in the community get a variety of reactions. Many cases have sprung up that need to be addressed. In this study focused on the opinions and forms of social action carried out by a student against transgender existence. To answer the researchers used the theory of social action, Max Weber. Snowball is a technique used to determine the informant with the help to the informant. This research was conducted by means of qualitative description and choose a location in the area of Jombang, East Java. Data collected by means of in-depth interviews were then analyzed inductively. Based on the results of the study, presented on the causes being a transgender. Researchers found a uniform answer as to the cause of both informants about being transgender subjectively. It can be seen that transgender is a person were has a biological disorder for example born with two genitals and some were caused by some external factors as the influence of the social environment. In addition there are internal factors that have an instinct that is different from the original gender.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the correlation between depression and occurrence of insomnia in elderly. The level of depression as independent variables and the incidence of insomnia as the dependent variable, the elderly in nursing research subjects Wredha Santo Yoseph Kediri with an age range 65-90 years, amounting to 22 elderly. Saturated sampling is used as a method of making the subject. Data analysis using Spearman correlation analysis and data collection using a scale of Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) and Insomnia Rating Scale (IRS). The results showed that 11 elderly (50.0%) with moderate depression, 6 elderly people (27.3%) with severe depression, and 5 elderly (22.7%) with mild depression. The level of insomnia in elderly as much as 15 elderly (68.2%) with moderate of insomnia, 4 (18.2%) with mild of insomnia, and 3 (13.6%) with severe of insomnia. Depression is related to occurrence Insomnia with coefficient r 0.692, p = 0.000. These results suggest that increasing levels of depression will improve insomnia in elderly, and vice versa

Abstract

This study examines the influence of environmental perceptions Work on job satisfaction at the police members Jombang. The hypothesis is There Influence Perception of Work Environment to satisfaction of Work Psychology at the police members Jombang. The variables in this study perception of the work environment and job satisfaction, subjects in this study were 40 members of the police force in Jombang. Data collection methods be used in this study using a scale measuring perceptions of the work environment and job satisfaction measurement scale in the form of a questionnaire given to research subjects to be filled. Data analysis using Produck Moment, Conclusions of the statistical analysis showed the value of product moment correlation r xy = -0.0327, p = 0.000 (p <0.005), this shows that a very significant positive influence between work environment Psychological Work (X) with Job satisfaction (Y) means the better perception of the psychological work environment, the higher the job satisfaction member of the police work. Thus the hypothesis is accepted

Abstract

Reading is the capital key in progressing a nation, therefore, interest in reading must be grown in the community from an early age. Reading park community is an ideal place as an idea to play, learning and development of reading interest. Therefore, the introduction of reading park community in children from an early age discourse that presents books to children is one way to foster interest in reading for children. By growth habit of reading can boost the quality life-style, creativity, independence, struggle effort, and competitiveness next time. That reading park community can be a medium in promoting interest in reading for early childhood do several activities, namely: activities cooking contest, a bazaar of books and used clothing, drawing, coloring contest, reading stories and storytelling, training reading stories and storytelling for parents. In addition, there is a series of structuring reading park community for example, the addition of facilities and infrastructure, adding books to children, reading the management of park management system, organizing Reading Park, the design of the room. Such steps undertaken to encourage children and parents to come to the park to read, with their coming in the park to read, they know that there are many sources of interesting reading, with their interest in books and other reading materials are expected to encourage children to love reading

Abstract

Executive function is responsible for directing self behavior in order to purposive and aims such as planning, organizing, problem solving, self-monitoring skills and self regulation. This function is associated with frontal lobe (center of think). The main components of executive function are anticipation (set realistic expectations, understanding the consequences), planning (organization), execution or implementation (maintain flexibility), self-monitoring (emotional control, error recognition). Dysfunction executive (deficit of executive functions) is one cause of disability in the client's mental disorders so that clients of mental disorders commonly have difficulty in performing activities of complex psychological like behavior of complex, purposeful, targeted and selective attention, decision-making, judgment, selection, planning, and flexibility. Neuropsychological rehabilitation efforts can be used to improve executive function (executive function) thus will significantly improve emotional health, social functioning, and independent skill. The rehabilitation program consists of a variety of techniques that include Cognitive Adaptation Training (CAT), verbalization, goal setting and cognitive remediation.
